The river is very slow, flat water for most of the journey and there are a set of gentle rapids which you can run at the end of the trip. Departing from Cardigan these boat trips first head out to Cardigan Island, an important nesting area for a variety of sea birds, then explore the coast between the Island and Mwnt, the area we most regularly see our resident bottlenose dolphins. The average sighting rate for bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on these trips is 64%.

Part of the National Trust, Llanerchaeron is set in the beautiful Aeron Valley just outside of Aberaeron. The villa, designed in the 1790s, is a complete example of the early work of John Nash. It has its own service courtyard with dairy, laundry, brewery and salting house, giving a full 'upstairs, downstairs' experience. The walled kitchen gardens, pleasure grounds, ornamental lake and parkland offer peaceful walks, while the Home Farm complex has an impressive range of traditional, atmospheric outbuildings. A working farm, there are Welsh Black cattle, Llanwenog sheep, and rare Welsh pigs as well as chickens, geese and doves.
